Patient Info

What to expect, before and after.

Clear, written guidance for every stage of your restoration — so you can relax and focus on the result.

Where Do You Stand?

Find your stage on the Norwood scale.

Select the pattern that looks most like yours — you’ll get honest guidance on what it typically means, and your selection carries into the free photo consult.

A self-assessment guide, not a medical diagnosis. Patterns vary — especially for women, where thinning is often diffuse and the Norwood scale doesn’t apply.

Recovery

Your first year, step by step.

01

Days 0–2 · Rest

Gentle rest at home with your head elevated. You’ll leave with a care kit, saline spray, and a direct line to the team.

02

Days 3–7 · First washes

Guided, gentle washing begins and any swelling settles. Most patients return to desk work in this window.

03

Weeks 2–4 · Shedding

Transplanted hairs shed while the follicles stay healthy beneath the skin. It’s expected — not a setback.

04

Months 3–6 · New growth

Fresh growth emerges and thickens month by month. Photos at your check-ins track the change.

05

Months 8–12 · The result

Density and texture mature into the final result — hair that grows, cuts, and styles as your own, because it is.

Before Surgery

Preparing for your procedure.

We will give you a personal checklist at booking. In general: avoid alcohol for several days, pause blood-thinning supplements only as directed by your prescribing doctor, and arrive with clean, product-free hair.

Never stop a prescribed medication on your own. Tell us everything you take at your consultation — we coordinate with your prescribing physician where needed and give you clear written instructions.

It depends on the technique and the area we are treating. Many FUE plans use a discreet shave of the donor area only; we will agree on the approach with you in advance — no surprises in the chair.

Most patients can, because we use local anesthetic. If you choose an oral relaxant for comfort, you will need someone to drive you — we will confirm this with you before your procedure day.

After Surgery

Caring for your new grafts.

Many patients return to desk work within two to three days. If your work is physical, or you would rather colleagues notice nothing, plan for up to a week — we will tailor the advice to your situation.

Grafts anchor progressively over the first ten days or so. We will show you exactly how to sleep, wash, and protect the area during that window — after it, normal life resumes.

Light walking is fine almost immediately. Sweating, straining, and contact sports wait roughly two weeks, swimming and saunas a little longer — your written aftercare plan has the exact timeline.

Yes — and it surprises everyone. Most transplanted hairs shed in the first weeks while the follicles stay healthy beneath the skin. New growth typically begins around month three and matures over a year.
